Overview

The Terrace, nestled on the 5th floor of Maxims Hotel at Resorts World Manila, offers guests a buffet experience that combines comfort with a touch of culinary variety. Situated in the vibrant heart of Newport City, Pasay, this spot is ideal for diners seeking a spacious setting with views that complement a relaxed dining atmosphere.

Specializing in buffet-style dining, The Terrace presents a menu that balances familiar flavors with select highlights. The corn and crab soup stands out with its rich, comforting notes, perfect as a warm starter. For dessert lovers, the strawberry and mango ice creams offer a refreshing finish, while the creamy pudding adds a soft, indulgent touch. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the well-prepared cappuccino, which pairs nicely with the array of breads available.

Despite a somewhat limited range of choices compared to some buffets, the quality of the dishes remains consistent. Roast pork and pizzas come highly recommended, showcasing hearty, well-executed flavors. The bread selection is a pleasant complement, though some guests, like regular Jakey Lazo, have noted the absence of Mediterranean staples such as olives, cheeses, and dips like olive oil and balsamic vinegar, elements they hope the management will consider adding to fully align with the restaurant’s advertised theme.

The Terrace caters primarily to those who appreciate a laid-back yet refined buffet experience—whether for casual lunches or leisurely dinners. Its strategic location within a hotel complex also makes it accessible for travelers and local visitors alike, seeking both convenience and quality. While the space is designed for comfort rather than opulence, it offers a suitable environment for small gatherings and solo diners alike.

In summary, The Terrace delivers a solid buffet experience with standout highlights that appeal to diners looking for a mix of familiar tastes and a few unique treats in a central Manila setting. With potential improvements in menu variety and authentic Mediterranean accompaniments, it could elevate the overall dining experience even further.

Few choices for the price but most dishes tasted pretty good. Miso soup was warm not hot. Roast pork, pizzas, bread were yummy. I wish Management would consider my suggestion that since their ad on the RW page says "Mediterranean cuisine" they should add a selection of cheeses for both lunch and dinner (waiter told me breakfast buffets have) and they should have some olive oil and balsamic vinegar on hand for those who want to dip in their yummy bread.
